Axe 6: Change Management

Faced with the transformations of today’s world, companies must change. The Adaptation Institute is studying how companies are implementing change and how they are going about it (and how they could optimize it).

Direction: Christian Clot

This research is fully in line with objective 8 (Decent work and Economic Growth) and 4 (Quality Education) of the 17 sustainable development goals of UNESCO.

____

In a world that is changing faster and faster, we must equip ourselves with the means to adapt to all new situations.

Tomorrow can be scary. Climate change, the ubiquity of new technologies, political and economic developments… businesses are facing a more evolving and uncertain future than ever. But nothing is an inevitability. We can take charge of our destinies, and that of our organizations and create a possible future.

A future that will only be built if three bases are united: understanding, training and collaboration. Understanding who we are as individuals, faced with change and what those changes are; sharing this knowledge and sharing it with as many people as possible; collaborating to search together and to jointly build new solutions. Because it is by working together that we offer the best of ourselves.

METHODOLOGY

An organization is only adaptable to developments according to its capacity to act, in all aspects of its system, in a fluid and rapid manner, without exerting too much energy and in an integrative manner. This is the case for companies.

Our methodology makes it possible to study one or more groups of colleagues in a changing company, to understand the mechanisms in action in the successful implementation of change and transformation. Our work is based, among other things, on the Global Adaptation State®, which gives a holistic assessment of the company or system, of the individuals composing it, and of the organization’s environment. It considers a large number of variables, chosen jointly between the Institute and the client – from emotions to stress levels, from states of alertness to organizational systems, to generate reliable and evolving indices of the adaptive state. We are focusing here on the ability to evolve in a fluid and less energy-consuming manner (in time, resources, stress), in a world that is evolving rapidly, and on how to better cope with unforeseen crises.
